Verification coverage

Country and document catalogue

Discover the identity documents and verification methods currently available in each supported country. This catalogue is generated from the same routing configuration used by the UnifyID API.

Find supported identity documents

Search by country name, ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code, or UnifyID document type. An identity type can support multiple verification methods; UnifyID selects an eligible route using environment, availability, assurance, and platform policy.

Use capability discovery in your application

Do not hard-code country coverage into a production integration. Query the capability API when building country and document selectors, cache successful responses briefly, and handle a capability becoming unavailable between discovery and verification.

EndpointReturns
GET /v1/capabilities/countriesAll currently supported countries and document counts.
GET /v1/capabilities/countries/:countryCodeAvailable document types and capture methods for one country.
GET /v1/capabilities/countries/:countryCode/document-types/:documentTypeCurrent capability details for one country-document pair.
Coverage can change as providers, regulations, maintenance windows, and UnifyID policy change. A catalogue entry describes current technical availability; it does not guarantee that every verification attempt will be approved.

Next steps

Select only the document categories your use case requires, configure the corresponding document access policy in your application, and request the minimum document fields during authorization.
